My next “project” for my site is to finally get my ‘portfolio’ of work** up on here so I can start posting the URL on my resume, applications etc…

Clearly my life isn’t nearly as exciting as it use to be, hence my need to NOT share.

…..Cause here I am, in the central of Hong Kong (on a business trip) and I’m not taking the opportunity to seize the night or find adventure. I suppose there comes a time when you just want to stay in and order room service. It’s not often I get to muck about in expensive hotels. Plus, I don’t have anyone to push me to do things. Despite me favouring the solo travelling, there are times where it’s not always fun. The weather is great though – well, cool – how I like it albeit wet. It reminds me of London. I did walk around nearby and saw these little pubs that looked quite fun – but I guess it’s not the same.

I’ve just googled “things to do in Hong Kong alone” and apparently it comes on top as an ideal place to go for women travelling alone. Of course, one of the things to do is go to the Peak – which I’ve done a few years back. Aspartame – a part of me. Like Armagedon – I’m not getting any.

Good gord, I don’t have an ounce of energy in me today. This has resulted in…absolutely nothing. I finally got my first ‘real’ cup of coffee for the day (ETA 4:24 p.m.) and you wouldn’t believe cause you’re not seeing it but I am literally typing this all out with my eyes closed (I’m pretty good with keyboard memorization) so any second now you may see me doing something like this.a’l q I don’t have an ounce of energy in me today. So what’s up with Malaysia’s religious police wanting to ban Valentines day? I swear, the only time Malaysia is ever in the news is for ridiculous reasons like this. Apparently, JAIS pointed out that there were 257,411 births out of wedlock between 2000 and 2008 and blamed Valentine’s Day celebration as one of the causes. Okay, I think Valentine’s is stupid because it’s hallmark holiday and a reason to drop $$$ ..also, it reminds just how alone I am in that department. But seriously Malaysia…

Yesterday was “Wednesday Drinkies” at Overtime in Mont Kiara (hosted by my BIL Jacques of Expatypus!) The place is quite cool for after work drinks, hence the “overtime” theme I guess. Best part about it is they make sure your beer is always chilled thus replacing your glasses with newly chilled glasses ever so often. Good for those who nurse their beers. It’s a very ‘porky’ place – almost every other item on the food menu is porky. The pork knuckles looked tempting but you know the best place to eat deep fried pork knuckes is here.

Okay..it’s time now to do a ‘mall strut’ (aka burning calories whilst burning a whole in my wallet)

My ‘halcyon’ journal writing days…

I went to DIGI today to get my roaming activated. I was all ready to pay the RM300 deposit for **new (less than 6 months) account holders until the man there told me that if I showed my old Maxis bill that proves I was roaming on their service as well, I didn’t have to pay the deposit at Digi. Sweet! Now I have RM300 in my wallet and my palms are itchy to spend it on something that I should probably not spend on. While visiting friends in the States, I was asked “Who uses cash anymore?”. Soon we’re gonna see rappers and their hoes rolling around in platinum cards.

[insert paragraph transitional word here], I sent three work pants for shortening today. It was only RM12 a pair which is a decent price for the Mont Kiara area. They will only be ready Monday though, a day before my business trip to Hong Kong. Wow, I sound so adult saying “business trip”. I may be 30, a home owner with a job, but I don’t really feel adult. I’m like a very boring teenager. Then again, adults are like boring teenagers that make their own money. And if adults get knocked up, it’s okay, cause y’know – we’re “adult”.

Been listening to lots of Deerhunter lately. Ever since watching them live at the Laneway Festival in Singapore almost 2 weeks ago, I’m like Bambi’s mother at their mercy. (Now if you don’t know what happened to Bambi’s mother, watch this clip) Seriously, Deerhunter is my jam to start 2011! It should be the year of the deer, not the rabbit! I’ve always liked Deerhunter since maybe 2 years ago though. They popped up as recommended artist on my Last.FM profile. After seeing them though…. wow I don’t even. It’s the music and maybe also the rain.

Valentine’s day is around the corner and the more the years accumulate, the more I DON’T GIVE A FLYING FUCK.

Remember when blogging was about about you and your day to day trials and tribulations? Gone are the days of diaryland and livejournal. Okay so I admit I post in the latter time to time but it isn’t the same anymore! The rawness, simplicity and narcisim isn’t what it use to be. I’m bringing back the 90′s and early 00′s. Deal with it. My mundane thoughts and actions are easier than ever to transcribe now with a smartphone. There is no need to wait to get to a computer. Hell i’m going to start now ‘ while I sautee my mushrooms!

So yesterday, I recieved my transcripts from Towson. I’ve been seriously considering getting my Masters. I’ve been dabbling at the idea of doing them in the UK because of the proximity to ‘home’ and my fondness and longing for snow. Unfortunately my grades are shameful. I didn’t exactly party much in college so what was it? Right, men and money. The m&m’s that don’t melt in your hands, but melt your brains instead. I’m going to give education another chance. I am looking to start at the semester starting in Jan. By then I hope to have cleared my debts, saved up enough money and become one hell of a kick ass drummer so I can eventually pursue my dream of being a moderately known rockstar in an all girl rock band. Here goes nothing….

I quite like this release… I’m going to make it a point to post every day!

I downloaded the android app for wordpress. It makes me want to post more! As you know i’m behind. I still have a travel post about my amazing time in California. Since, i’ve been to Chiang Mai and now Bangkok. Actually i’m leaving in a couple hours! Overall, I’m thinking of changes in a big way for this site. I know i always say this but 2011 will be a year of DOING – every sense of the word. If 2011 had a tagline, Nike would have a word with me. I’m so ready for the year ahead! I’m already dating everything 2011. So here’s to 2011! 2010 was good but there was something missing which i hope it’s succesor can fill.

Well it’s an update folks! I know, I write as though I actually have an audience. Call it wishful thinking that some multibillionaire will come across my site and decide to hire me based on my AWESOMENESS. Stranger things have happened! Like recently, I asked a question to Conan O’ Brien that if I were to get a 5 year old to draw a picture of him, I’d get it tattooed on me and in return, would he consider giving me tickets to his first show? Of course, should that happen, I’d have to push my dates in LA a few days later but I suppose it’d be worth it!

Oh yeah, so I’m going to California in a little under one month! This latter half of 2010 has been a good to me in terms of travel. Since July I’ve been to London – Brussels – Dour – Saigon – Singapore and it’s Los Angeles and San Francisco next month. I haven’t really planned anything after but I have been thinking a lot about making a ‘move’. Everything right now are just puzzle fragments in my head and I have yet to piece them together. There are things I didn’t know in my 20′s which I feel I have a better grasp on entering my 30′s. I’ve ‘been there, done that’ and I’m quite happy where I am in life but I know there can be more! It helps that I have awesome friends here and across the globe that will support me in what I do.

Since pictures are worth a thousand words, here are 4 that sums up the latter half of 2010. Make what you will of it.
